Apollo 11 landed 900 miles southwest of Hawaii on July 24.

Post Apollo 11 Careers

Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin continued to do two more moonwalks in the mission Gemini 12. 

Neil Armstrong continued to work at NASA until 1971, after that he taught aerospace engineering in Cincinnati, Ohio. Armstong died at the age of 82 in 2012.

Micheal Collins resigned from NASA and had multiple jobs until he retired in 1982.
